本課是北師大版《初中英語》八年級下冊教材Unit 6 Lesson17,話題是請求和對請求做出回應。作為本單元的第二課是16課《一個偵探的故事(上)》的繼續(xù)。本課是聽力課。聽力內容為人物對話。共分兩部分,前一部分是偵探溫特斯和死者13年前失蹤不久前又出現的兒子丹尼斯之間的一個對話。后半部分是溫特斯偵探告訴霍桑醫(yī)生自己對丹尼斯所說的話的可信度的判斷。通過閱讀激發(fā)學生對偵探類小說的好奇心,培養(yǎng)學生的閱讀興趣。聽力文本較長,兩個人物又都是男性,從聲音上區(qū)分度不強
2、。教學內容對學生來說相對較難。
本課的教學設計將分為兩個課時。第一課時采取任務型教學模式通過聽力任務的設置,讓學生在不斷了解聽力內容的前提下,對文本進行深層次的理解。第二課時通過對溫特斯偵探的問題的理解,體會直接引語和間接引語在意義的區(qū)別從而引出間接引語。引領學生歸納和練習功能句和對請求做出回應。最后,在完成任務并進行小組討論的過程中運用這些功能句。
