Teaching aims:
To practice reading and learn to use must, might, could and can’t to talk about why you are anxious.
To learn the new words: noise, happening, uneasy, wolf, policeman and so on.
Teaching procedure:
Step 1: Revision
Use three pic
2、tures to review the sentence pattern: …could/might…
---What is it?
---It could be three faces/three birds.
Step 2: Lead-in
Play a sound of a car accident, and ask the students 2 questions:
1. What might be happening?
2. How do you feel when you hear something strange at night?
Step 3: P

Look at the picture and answer the questions:

Step 4: While-reading: Skimming and scanning
