Lesson 30: A Famous Friend?
一.教材分析:
1. 單元及課文分析
This unit will focus on discussing the students’ futures. Students will begin to explore their likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses in terms of future careers. They will begin to form ideas and opinions about their futures and
2、what they hope to accomplish. They will learn about different professions, job options and identify what their goals are for the future and what steps they will need to take to achieve those goals.
In addition, they will learn to give and receive advice and positive feedback. The grammar focus th
3、roughout this unit will be the modal verbs might and would,comparative and superlative adjectives.
2.教學(xué)目標(biāo)
語言技能:掌握描述理想的詞匯與語句,并就自己的理想進行簡單介紹。
掌握詞匯:wise, actor
接觸詞匯:Helen
短語和句型:no matter what…
情感態(tài)度:
通過對課文的學(xué)習(xí)使孩子們樹立遠大理想,認(rèn)識到立足現(xiàn)在才會有美好的未來。
3.教學(xué)重點:了解不同人的理想,并利用閱讀后所獲取的信息來進行寫作。
教學(xué)難點:根據(jù)所學(xué)知識,準(zhǔn)確恰當(dāng)?shù)赜糜⒄Z描述自己

4.學(xué)習(xí)策略:鼓勵學(xué)生通過觀察、模仿、體驗、探究、展示等方式學(xué)習(xí)與合作學(xué)習(xí)。

三.教學(xué)步驟:
Step 1. Class Opening
Think About It. (About 3 minutes)
Who do you like to ask for advice when you need help? Your parents, your teachers or your good friends?

Step 2. Listen
1. Tea

Show a photo of Helen. (About 2 minutes)
2. Play the tape for the students. Ask them to listen carefully and then tell T or F. (About 5 minutes)

1) Read Lesson 30 silently and try to find out the answers to the questions.
What questions did Danny ask Helen ?
What’s Helen’s advice for Danny?
Will Danny and Li Ming be friends when they become rich?
2) Then have the students answer the questions.

Step 4. Practice(About 5 minutes)
Ask the students to fill in the blanks with the useful expresions in this lesson.

Step 5. Reading Practice(About 10 minutes)

Write an e-mail to your friend. Tell him or her about your ambitions and ask for advice.
Ask each group to present their article to the class if there’s enough time.
