1、 高一英語閱讀教學(xué)案例 高一英語組:李小梅 背景介紹 background introduction 人教版高中英語必修一第五單元Nelson Mandela的故事,我節(jié)選這個(gè)單元的閱讀案例。本單元的中心話題是“偉人的品格,幾位偉人的生平”,話題涉及談?wù)撝澳阕畛缇吹膫ト恕癢illiam Tyndale”, “Sun yat-sen” “Nelson Mandela”等,語言技能和語言知識(shí)都圍繞中心話題而設(shè)計(jì)。本節(jié)課為此單元的第二課時(shí)——閱讀課。 “熱身”(warming up)部分插入了一段視頻,內(nèi)容關(guān)于Beyond樂隊(duì)寫給Nelson Mandela的一首歌,能夠引起學(xué)
2、生對(duì)的興趣 同時(shí)誘發(fā)學(xué)生的探索精神和想象力。通過觀看,學(xué)生會(huì)自主地發(fā)現(xiàn)下面閱讀故事的背景,有助于學(xué)生正確理解文章的深層意思,真正體會(huì)主人公的偉大。 “閱讀”(Reading)材料是一篇記敘文,故事由窮苦的黑人工人伊萊亞斯向我們敘述偉人納爾遜曼德拉的故事。通過描述納爾遜曼德拉對(duì)他的幫助,使學(xué)生更深刻地了解了納爾遜曼德拉的偉大,并感受到了偉人的優(yōu)秀品質(zhì),對(duì)學(xué)生今后的人生道路、心理素質(zhì)、生活態(tài)度起到了陶冶和積極的導(dǎo)向作用。 教學(xué)目標(biāo)Teaching aims To help students read Elias story and learn some new words and phr

S: Nelson Mandela (簡評(píng):學(xué)生通過觀看video ,可以感受曼德拉的一生,并且產(chǎn)生強(qiáng)烈的欲望想去了解這位偉人,當(dāng)時(shí)學(xué)生注意力特別集中,效果較好) Step 2.Lead in T: Yes ,you are right

Step 3 skimming Now turn to page 34, let’s read the story Elias’ story .first ,skim the whole passage to figure out the rel
6、ationship between Nelson Mandela and Elias and also the main idea. Now look at the screen, what’s the relationship between Nelson Mandela and Elias? What’s the main idea? Elias told us how Nelson Mandela helped black people through his own experience. Step4.Scanning Now we see it’s a story ,so
7、 we must pay attention to who、where 、 when 、what happened、why 、how ,and what result ,this time using scanning to quickly find the key information to fill in the chart, Ok? 10、et’s read the passage carefully and slowly try to find these information. 1.What’s Mandela’s job in 1952? In 1952 Mandela was a black lawyer, who offered guidance to poor black people on legal problems. 2. Why did Elias quit(離開) school so early? Because his family could not afford the school fee
11、s and the bus fare. 3. What was Elias feeling when he got the correct papers and what did he do after that? He became more hopeful about his future and he never forgot how kind Mandela was. When Nelson Mandela organized the ANC Youth League, Elias joined it as soon as he could. 4. What were th
12、e positions of the black in the early 1960s? They had no rights to vote or choose who ruled them. They could not get any jobs. They lived in the poorest places in South Africa 5. How did the ANC Youth League fight against the government? They decided to answer violence with violence. 6. Why did
13、Nelson Mandela turn to violence to make black people and white people equal? Nelson Mandela turned to violence because he felt there was no other way of changing this unfair situation. 7. Why did Elias help Mandela blow up some government buildings? Because he thought it was a way to make black p

(簡評(píng):這一部分是為學(xué)生運(yùn)用語言和操練語言而設(shè)計(jì)的, 而且征求意見給出觀點(diǎn)也是本單元的學(xué)習(xí)目標(biāo)之一,所以留大約10分鐘左右讓他們來評(píng)價(jià)曼德拉,但是學(xué)生當(dāng)時(shí)不是很踴躍) Step10.making up Next let’s see the life of this great man, I need a student to read it , 曼德拉簡介:南非首位黑人總統(tǒng) 反種族主義英雄 1918年7月18日出生于南非特蘭斯凱一個(gè)大酋長家庭。曼德拉自幼性格剛強(qiáng),崇敬民族英雄。他是家中長子而被指定為酋長繼承人。但他表示:“決不愿以酋長身份統(tǒng)治一個(gè)受壓迫的部族”,而要
22、“以一個(gè)戰(zhàn)士的名義投身于民族解放事業(yè)”。他毅然走上了追求民族解放的道路。1944年他參加南非非洲人國民大會(huì)(簡稱非國大)。1952年先后任非國大執(zhí)委、德蘭士瓦省主席、全國副主席。同年年底,他成功地組織并領(lǐng)導(dǎo)了“蔑視不公正法令運(yùn)動(dòng)”,贏得了全體黑人的尊敬。為此,南非當(dāng)局曾兩次發(fā)出不準(zhǔn)他參加公眾集會(huì)的禁令。 1961年6月曼德拉創(chuàng)建非國大軍事組織“民族之矛”,任總司令。1962年8月,曼德拉被捕入獄,當(dāng)時(shí)他年僅43歲,南非政府以政治煽動(dòng)和非法越境罪判處他5年監(jiān)禁。1964年6月,他又被指控犯有以陰謀顛覆罪而改判為無期徒刑,從此開始了漫長的鐵窗生涯,在獄中長達(dá)27個(gè)春秋,他備受迫害和折磨,但始終堅(jiān)貞
23、不屈。1990年2月11日,南非當(dāng)局在國內(nèi)外輿論壓力下,被迫宣布無條件釋放曼德拉。1991年7月當(dāng)選為非國大主席。1994年4月,非國大在南非首次不分種族的大選中獲勝。同年5月,曼德拉成為南非第一位黑人總統(tǒng)。 ok ,that’ s it ,do you want to know the present him? (簡評(píng):這一部分是文章的精神所在,也是我應(yīng)該激勵(lì)學(xué)生的部分,學(xué)生深刻地了解了納爾遜曼德拉的偉大,并感受到了偉人的優(yōu)秀品質(zhì),對(duì)學(xué)生今后的人生道路、心理素質(zhì)、生活態(tài)度起到了陶冶和積極的導(dǎo)向作用) 教學(xué)反思Record after teaching: 整個(gè)課堂設(shè)計(jì)運(yùn)用了任務(wù)型教學(xué)方法,通過不同任務(wù)的引導(dǎo),對(duì)學(xué)生進(jìn)行聽、讀、寫各方面的訓(xùn)練?;顒?dòng)形式多樣,如小組活動(dòng)、個(gè)體活動(dòng),使不同層次的學(xué)生都有成功學(xué)習(xí)的體驗(yàn)。從學(xué)生課堂上的表現(xiàn)來看,學(xué)生的情感得到了激發(fā),至少明白了偉人的高貴品質(zhì)是在座是每一位同學(xué)所要學(xué)習(xí)的。但是文章里面還是有太多的定語從句,雖然課前也做了一些處理,但是還是感覺處理不是很有效果,導(dǎo)致課堂上學(xué)生回答問題不夠積極,今后應(yīng)該注意到自己學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況,公開課多做預(yù)習(xí)和鋪墊,這樣才能呈現(xiàn)一節(jié)生動(dòng)有效的高質(zhì)量示范課。
