2019-2020年八年級英語下冊 Module 5 Problems Unit 3 Language in use教學設計 外研版 課型 Revision and application 教學目標 Knowledge: To summarise and consolidate if-clause and the vocabulary; to learn the new words: hurry up, shelf, steal Ability: Writing skill: Write about one’s hobby. Improve the students’ writing ability. Moral Education: Face the problems correctly. 教學重點 Adverbial Clauses of Condition 教學難點 The usage of Adverbial Clauses of Condition 教學方法 Formal and interactive practice 教學用具 Multi-Media (or Tape recorder, OHP) 教學過程 Step 1 Revision Review the text of Unit 2 Step 2 Language practice 1. Read through the example sentences in the box with the whole class. 2. Ask them what language point is demonstrated. (Adverbial Clauses of Condition.) Step 3 Exercise Rewrite the sentences, using if Example: Listen in class, or you won’t understand what to do. If you don’t listen in class, you won’t understand what to do. 1. Eat some breakfast, or you’ll get hungry at school. ___________________________________ 2. Hurry up! We’ll be late! ___________________________________ 3. Read the instructions carefully. Then you’ll know what to do. ___________________________________ plete the sentences giving advice with the correct form of the words Example: -- I want to get high scores. -- If you work hard, you will get high scores. (work hard/ get high scores) 1– How can I remember my friends’ birthdays? (keep a note in your diary/not forget) -- If ___________________________. 2. – It’s late, but I don’t want to go to sleep. -- If ___________________________. (not get enough sleep/ feel tired at school) 3. – I don’t like speaking English outside the classroom. (not practice / not improve) -- If _____________________________. 4. –Should I tell my teacher I don’t understand the work? -- If _____________________________ (not tell her/ she not able to help you) 5. – Is it OK if I hand in my project a week late? (you not hand it in on time/ teacher not mark it) -- If _________________________________. Step4 Module task Writing a problem page for a magazine Work in pairs. Invent and write a problem. Work in groups Read your problem to the group. Discuss advice for each problem. Homework 1. Revise the new vocabulary and expressions in this module 2. Revise Adverbial Clauses of Condition 3.
