第9課時(shí) 八年級(jí)上冊(cè)Units 1~3 好題隨堂演練 一、閱讀理解 A (xx廣西貴港港南二模改編)Chris Hughes is a 24yearold man from the United Kingdom. He often wears the same clothes for many days in a row because he doesnt know how to use a washing machine. This is not a joke. Hughes is far from the only young person who doesnt have basic life skills. According to a recent study by You Gov (a UK market research firm 2 B), todays young people in the UK are less capable(有能力的) than older generations(老一輩人) when it comes to basic life skills. For example, about 35% dont know how to sew(縫) on a button and 11% dont understand how to change a light bulb(電燈泡) or iron(熨燙) clothes. This problem is shared by young people in the United States as well. According to Forbes(《福布斯》), many young people in the US are losing the skill of cooking, as they are much more likely to order takeout food. Technology may be the main reason for this. Born and grown in a digital age(數(shù)字化時(shí)代), young people are more familiar(熟悉的) with using phones and computers. For example, with GPS always at hand, young people have no need to learn how to read physical maps. However, this does not mean that younger generations are unable to complete basic everyday tasks. The Mimor showed that as their lives have changed, the major life skills that they are good at have changed as well. The study results show that although only 45% know how to pay their water and electricity bills after leaving home, 72% could help set up a WiFi network in a new house. 1.Why does Hughes often wear the same clothes for many days? When we meet difficulties, they are the first to come up and stand with us to solve the problems. Thanks to them, we grow up healthily and happily. Learning to care for our parents is what we should do. First, we can help do more housework. Second, we should respect them and get on well with them. Then they may feel happy. Third, we are supposed to study hard and try not to make them worry about us. All in all, we should always be grateful to our parents and do what we can do to thank them.- 1.請(qǐng)仔細(xì)閱讀文檔,確保文檔完整性,對(duì)于不預(yù)覽、不比對(duì)內(nèi)容而直接下載帶來的問題本站不予受理。
