Teaching important points: new words: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Teaching difficult points: Sounds and words:/ju:/ The first period Step 1. Revision 1. Greetings 2.Free talk Step 2. New Presentation 1.Put the picture card on the blackboard T:(Point to Sunday) It’s Sunday. Repeat. [Ss: It’s Sunday] T:What day is it today? It’s ….( Help the students answer ) Do the similar activities T:All the days together make one week .(showing the picture cards)Week. Repeat.[Ss: Week.] 2.Look at the teacher’s mouth, then guess the words. 3.Read together and pair work. 4.T: Open your books to page 10.Listen to the tape and repeat, point to each day as you say it . 5.Play the tape and let the students repeat T:(Pointing to Saturday ) Is it Wednesday?[Ss :No, it isn’t . It’s Saturday.](Pointing to Monday )Is it Monday ?[Ss: Yes, it is] Do the same activities 6. Learn the dialogue (1) Bring a big calendar to the classroom and some other physical objects : for instance : a basketball, a ping-pong ball ,a bat and so on. Review the words .(Give some exercises) T:What day is it today?(Point to the day of the calendar)oh, it’s (Tuesday). Holding a basketball。 T:I play basketball on(Tuesday). (Point to the calendar again) (2) Pass the balls to different students ,tell them to repeat the sentence: I play basketball on(Tuesday) Holding other objects and say: T:I play ping-pong on Sunday.(Point to Sunday) Use the other objects to do the same activities (3) Play the tape: T:Open your books. Let’s listen to the tape. ( The teacher points to each picture in the book) T:Let’s listen again and repeat 7.Group work :divide the students into several groups, ask them to act the parts of Gogo , Jenny, Tony,Mr. Green. Step 3. Conclusion Step Homework : Copy the words learned in this class. Group activities 1 Talk about three pictures: T:(Point to Monday)What day is it today ?[Ss: It’s Monday .] T: (Point to Friday) How about this one ? what day is it today ?[Ss: It’s Friday .] What do you do on Friday ?[Ss: I play soccer on Friday.] 5.T:Let’s listen to the tape and answer T:Which day of the week is it ?Do you know ? Is it this one ?(Point to Monday ) Do an action and say the sentence : It’s Wednesday. T: Number 1 Is it Wednesday .? Do the activity with other group 5. Group activities 2 Put the pictures on the blackboard. Learn the new sentences . 1師利用玩具在講臺前布置一個玩具柜臺,師用拇指指著頭飾,向?qū)W生引出對話: What’s this ?/It’s a koala .How lovely .并指導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)行操練。(注:教師也可以利用圖片在黑板上布置玩具柜臺)。 此處先引導(dǎo)學(xué)生用學(xué)過的It’s nice/pretty/smart等句子進(jìn)行贊美,然后再引出句子How lovely . 2指名一生到板前,師指著背朝自己的小兔,并扮演老虎發(fā)問: 通過師生間對話引出第二組、第三組對話: What’s that ? It’s a rabbit .I see .This is a cat .I think . No ,It isn’t .It’s a tiger . 3Practice . a.Part work . 師結(jié)合黑板上圖片(或講臺前玩具柜,讓學(xué)生分部分操練) b.Group work . 四人一小組操練對話(利用自己課前準(zhǔn)備的玩具)師巡回指導(dǎo)。 三、Short rest . Group work . 四人一小組練習(xí)表演對話。對話表演時不必拘于課本,可根據(jù)實際隨意合理組織。 5. Act . 指名板前表演。 五、Homework . 1. Copy the new words . 2.
