塑料工業(yè)是當今世界上增長最快的工業(yè)門類之一，而注塑模具是其中發(fā)展較快的種類，因此，研究注塑模具對了解塑料產品的生產過程和提高產品質量有很大意義。
本設計介紹了塑料模具的基本結構和注塑模的一些典型結構，注射成型的基本原理，對注塑產品提出了基本的設計原則；詳細介紹了注射模具澆注系統(tǒng)和凹凸模尺寸的設計過程，最后介紹了當今世界上最為普及的三維CAD/CAM系統(tǒng)標準軟件PRO/ENGNEER。
通過本設計，可以對注塑模具有一個初步的認識，注意到設計中的某些細節(jié)問題，了解模具結構及工作原理。
