2019-2020年八年級英語下冊 Module 8 Public holidays Unit 3 Language in use教學設計 外研版 課型 Revision and application 教學目標 Knowledge: To understand the conception of the adverbial clause; to use proper expressions(while, when, before, until or as soon as) to from adverbial clauses of time in oral speech; to use the key words and phrases freely learnt in this module; to finish the module task: writing a Chinese festival Ability: Write New Year’s resolution. Improve the students’ writing ability Write about a Chinese festival. Moral Education: Enjoy ourselves during holidays. 教學重點 To summarise and consolidate the words and expressions. Write about a Chinese festival. 教學難點 Write New Year’s resolution. Improve the students’ writing ability To practise the structure: Adverbial clause with while, when, before, until or as soon as 教學方法 Formal and interactive practice 教學用具 Multi-Media (or Tape recorder, OHP) 教學過程 Step 1 Revision Help students to revise what is learnt in 3 periods of this module. Step 2 Language practice Task1: To summarize and consolidate the usage of adverbial clause with while, when, before, until or as soon as. Directions (1).Run through the examples with the Ss. and make sure that they are familiar with the use of adverbial clause with while, when, before, until or as soon as. (2). Ask the Ss. to repeat the sentences in the box. (3). Ask “Can you make other similar examples?” (4).Focus the Ss’ attention on the ways in which they are used: Task2: Choose the correct word to plete the sentences. Directions: (1). Do activities 1 and 2 on page 68 individually. (2). Ask the Ss. to check with a partner. (3). Ask some of the Ss. to read their answers. (4). Summarize. Task 3: Ask and answer the questions. Directions: (1). Ask the Ss. to do Activities 3 and 7 in pairs. (2). Write down some of the sentences (3) Call back some examples from the whole class. (4) Circulate and monitor their production. (5) Call the answers back from some pairs. Task 4: plete the passage using the words and expressions in the box Directions: (1). Ask the Ss. to plete the passage using the words and expressions in the box in activities 4 and 8. (2).Call back the answers from the whole class as plete sentences. Task 5: Listen Directions: (1). Ask the Ss. to listen to the tape and do Activity 5 on page 69 and Activity 6 on page 70 individually. (2).Circulate and monitor their production. (3) Call the answers back from some pairs. Step 3 Writing: Write New Year’s resolution. Step 4 Around the world Task: Learn something about public holidays. Directions 1)Ask the Ss. to look at the different pictures about public holidays. Tell the Ss. some knowledge about them. 2)Read the text and answer any questions the Ss have. Step 5 Module Task Task: Write about a Chinese festival. Directions: 1. Activity 9 on page 71. Ask the Ss. to write about a Chinese festival.. 2. Circulate and monitor their production. 3. Arrange a show-and-tell session, so that the Ss. can see everyone else’s work. 4. Arrange a discussion about which passages are most successful and why. 5. Find some pictures to go with their description. Step 6 Homework: Finish all the exercises in the WB.- 配套講稿:
